Located in the quiet village of Sheering in West Essex, The Old Rectory Swimming Pool offers your own private outdoor heated pool, available to book by the hour. Whether you’re looking for a family swim session, a peaceful place to relax, or a spot to exercise, you’ll enjoy exclusive use of the pool for the duration of your booking. It’s the luxury of a private pool without any of the running costs.

The pool measures 12.5m by 5m — ideal for children to play, but also long enough for adults to swim lengths. Entry is via steps into the shallow end at 1m, gradually sloping to a depth of 2.5m. The pool uses a chlorine‑based water system and is cleaned, maintained, and water‑tested daily. Water temperature is kept between 28–30 degrees, depending on the outside air temperature.

A changing area with bench seating and hooks is located beside the pool, and toilet facilities are available on site. Parking is provided for up to four cars; we encourage car sharing where possible, and if you expect to bring more vehicles, please email us so we can advise.

As this is part of our home, we ask all visitors to respect the space, follow the pool rules, and leave the area clean and tidy. Before booking, please ensure you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions.
